You can be miserable and defeated in the midst of acclaim, if you are out of His will; but you can be calm and at peace in the midst of persecution, as long as you are in the will of God”.

The reason for writing this article is based on a real story.
After my wedding, I moved into my husband’s house and began to organize it.. The last room was the attic. It was filled with very many small and large boxes.

As I started to open some of boxes, I noted the contents looked like gifts. Some of them had receipts, and some had greeting cards. Many were around 20 years old. Most of these gifts were new. Pride is as a mortal sin, and how I was able to overcome it.

The story that happened to me 15 years ago, it is a continuation of my first story, which turned my concept of the world, upside down. This gave me one more confirmation that a higher power does exist, and it leads us through out our entire life. I have no intention to question someone in their faith – this should come to their heart and not necessarily immediately. My story is about how I had to break my pride, which prevented me to live and enjoy life.

I thank God every day of my life and for every situation, he brings me, independently of the degree of its influence on my ego. I am sharing my true story because of a situation that happened to me and is associated with my faith in God Almighty…

It so happened that the concept of “Chernobyl victims”, I had to learn through my own experience. I am Ukrainian. My family was gone in 3 terrible years after the fatal explosion. My 42 years old husband, my dear mother-in-law, and my beloved mother all passed away. My father then dies three years after them, and then I was diagnosed with breast cancer. God forbid for someone else to find out what it is like at 35, with 2 young children and just 9 months after your husband’s funeral.
